Industries and subsidiaries Change Name, Streamline Operations COMMERCE CITY,
CO--Timberline Industries is the new name for Commerce city-based McCallin
Diversified Industries, a family-owned business that has operated in Denver
since 1958. The company's four local subsidiaries have also taken on
the "Timberline" moniker: Steel Inc. will now be called Timberline Steel;
A&I Bolt and Nut will now be called Timberline Fasteners; Plastics
Inc./Southern Supply will now be called Timberline Plastics; and Steel Storage
Systems will now add "a Timberline Industries Company" to its name. "Each of our
companies has a reputation for providing excellent customer service and high
quality products. We want to leverage the great value each of our
four subsidiary businesses have with their customer bases into one brand that
demonstrates consistent quality, and strong performance," said Dan McCallin,
Timberline Industries president and chief executive officer. "We believe that by
renaming the umbrella company to Timberline Industries and tying the Timberline
name to the fasteners, plastics and steel companies, we can represent ourselves
as a single source of many industrial products and create a much stronger
overall brand identity." |

Combination Creates The Most Inclusive Fastener Offering Available Today In the
Rocky Mountain Region COMMERCE CITY, CO (July 27, 2001)
Timberline Fasteners, an operating subsidiary of Timberline Industries and the
largest and most comprehensive full-line fastener distributor serving the Rocky
Mountain Region, today announced that it has expanded its presence with the
asset acquisition of Bennett Denver. The acquisition will enable Timberline
Fasteners to broaden both its product line and customer base while continuing
to provide distinguished customer service to the industrial and retail fastener
markets. Under the terms of the agreement, the Bennett Denver inventory will be
integrated into the Timberline Fastener inventory over the next 90 days.
Bennett Denver will be a very good strategic compliment to Timberline
Fasteners OEM business base, which over the last few years, has been our
fastest growing business segment comments Doug Porter, Timberline
Fasteners vice president and general manager. Bennett Denver will continue
operations at 11100 East 55th Avenue, Denver CO through September, after which
their entire operation will be integrated into the Timberline Fastener facility
in Commerce City, CO. |
